Highland Woods Residents Prepare for Flu Season
For Highland Woods residents preparing to receive the H1N1 vaccine before flu season kicks into high gear, the Kane County Health department has released information on its H1N1 Community Vaccination Clinics. The vaccinations are free and can be received without an appointment for persons in the following priority groups:
- Pregnant women
- People consistently around infants under 6 months of age (parents, siblings, day care providers)
- Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
- People aged between 6 months and 24 years
- People aged 25-64 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
