Building a Nest, Recreation & Activity

When you live at Highland Woods in Elgin, your family will never run out of fun activities. And, be assured you are protected by the best. The Elgin Fire Department has 133 firefighters who are dedicated to keeping the community safe and treating the community members like family.
Fire Station 2 at 650 Big Timber Road will host an open house for the community on Saturday, October 13 from 10 am to 3 pm. Tour the fire station and special exhibits, and enjoy refreshments and games with your family. Also, several scheduled activities will help to teach fire safety, so kids can learn more about the importance of fire escape planning and practice.
